Privacy Policy

The short version. ParkAgent exists to run parking for the property where you are staying or parking. Here is what that means for your data:
- What we collect: your name, phone number, optional email, license plate and vehicle details, and your parking and payment activity.
- Why we collect it: only to operate your parking — nothing else.
- We do not sell your personal information, ever.
- We do not market or advertise to you, and we are not spammers. We only message you about the parking activity you asked us to handle.
- We only share data with the providers strictly required to run your parking (such as the property you are parking with and the partners that deliver our texts and process your payment), and never for their marketing.
- You stay in control: you can access, correct, or delete your information at any time.
- We comply with GDPR, the CCPA, and PIPEDA.
Our Commitment and Scope
ParkAgent is a smart-parking service operated by Vacation Rental Parking Solutions, Inc. (“VRPS, Inc.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We help properties, vacation rentals, and homeowners’ associations manage limited parking, and we help guests and residents register their vehicles and receive the parking notifications they request.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the narrow set of circumstances in which we share it. The principle behind every line below is simple: 100% of the data we collect and share exists only to support your parking. We are not a marketing or advertising company, and we do not treat your data as a product. This policy covers our website, the ParkAgent application, and our SMS and text-messaging program. It does not cover the independent practices of a property you park with; where their own policies apply, they govern their own systems.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to register your vehicle, manage your parking, and notify you about it:
- Phone number (required). Your mobile number is the primary identifier for your ParkAgent activity. It is how we recognize your registrations and how we deliver the parking notifications you request.
- Name. Used to associate a parking pass or reservation with you.
- Email address (optional). Used, where you provide it, for receipts and account-related messages.
- Mailing address (where applicable). Collected only when a property requires it for residency or billing.
- License plate and vehicle information. Plate number, and details such as make, model, and color, so the property can recognize an authorized vehicle.
- Parking, pass, and reservation activity. The passes and permits you create, check-in and check-out times, and the lot or space involved.
- Payment information. Where parking is paid, card or payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Device and log data. Basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.
- Approximate location (only where needed). For a specific lot or feature that depends on it, we may use approximate geolocation to confirm you are at the relevant property. We do not track your location in the background.
Because your account is phone-number-based, we generally do not require additional identity documents to provide the service.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for parking purposes only:
- Create and manage your parking passes, permits, and reservations.
- Authorize and verify that a vehicle is permitted to park.
- Process payments for parking, through our payment processor.
- Send the transactional notifications you requested — such as pass confirmations, parking alerts, and account updates — including by SMS.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers. We do not sell your personal information.
How We Share Information
We share your information only in the limited circumstances required to run your parking:
- The property, rental company, or HOA you are parking with. So they can recognize your vehicle and support your parking at their location.
- Service providers strictly required to operate the service, acting on our behalf under contract and only on our instructions — for example, SMS and messaging providers such as Twilio that deliver our texts, payment processing such as Stripe, cloud hosting and storage, and, where used, enforcement partners patrolling the property where you park.
- Legal and safety disclosures. Where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or us.
- Corporate affiliates of VRPS, Inc., solely to help provide the service and under the same protections as this policy.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — with your information remaining subject to protections consistent with this policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers.
SMS and Text Messaging Privacy
When you opt in to ParkAgent text messages, we use your mobile number only to deliver the parking notifications you asked for — such as pass confirmations, parking alerts, and account updates. Messaging carriers and our messaging providers act solely as processors that transmit those messages on our behalf; they do not receive your number for their own marketing, and we do not use the SMS channel to send you promotions.
You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, and reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Typical retention periods are:
- Account data: kept during your active relationship with ParkAgent and for up to 24 months after your account becomes inactive.
- Guest registration and parking activity: 12 to 24 months after the stay or parking event.
- License-plate-recognition scans: up to 180 days, unless retained longer because they are needed for enforcement or to resolve an appeal.
- Payment and enforcement records: a minimum of 7 years, to meet legal, tax, and financial compliance requirements.
We retain information longer only where the law requires it.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include access controls that limit who can see your data, encryption of data in transit and, where appropriate, at rest, and established breach-response protocols. We also require our service providers to maintain appropriate security measures. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your information.
Your Rights and Choices
You can exercise the following rights over your information:
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of non-essential communications — reply STOP to any text message, or use the unsubscribe link in an email. Note that we may still send essential, transactional messages needed to operate your active parking.
To make a request, email privacy@vrpsinc.com or call 251.320.4280. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before acting — for example, by confirming a license plate or reservation ID, or the last four digits of the payment card on file. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification. We aim to respond within 45 days.
Regional Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:
- EU/EEA — GDPR. You may access, rectify, or erase your data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- California — CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information.
- Canada — PIPEDA. You may access your personal information and request corrections, and you may challenge our handling of it.
- Mexico — ARCO. You may exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition.
Children’s Privacy
ParkAgent is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@vrpsinc.com.
Cookies and Tracking
We keep tracking to a minimum. We use essential cookies needed for login and to maintain your session, plus basic analytics to understand how our site is used so we can operate and improve it. We do not use advertising or marketing trackers, and we do not sell your data through cookies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, and we honor recognized opt-out signals where applicable.
International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Wherever your information is processed, we apply protections consistent with this policy and use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes. We maintain a version history so you can see how the policy has evolved.
